Per Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, the St. Louis Cardinals have released Shane Robinson rather than tender him a contract. Robinson is entering his age-30 season coming off a season-ending shoulder injury. His career batting line is .231/.303/.308 (.274 wOBA, 71 wRC+).
