An Early September Rap Session

Morning, all. 

First off, can I just say how pissed off I am Matt Carpenter isn't being called up? Frankly, this is the reason I find it so maddening to be a Cardinal fan the last couple years. It isn't the tough decisions not made or made differently than how I would prefer. There are plenty of times the Cards and their coaching staff make decisions I don't agree with, but I don't have a problem with the decision all the same. But then, on the other hand, there are things like this, things so maddeningly stupid, that I just have a hard time comprehending what possible logic there could be behind it. Honestly, can anyone give me one legitimate reason why Carpenter isn't with the major league club right now? Unless he's hurt and we don't know it, there's really no reason. It may be a minor matter in the grand scheme of things, but I can honestly say it may be the single most senseless decision I can think of in a long season full of senseless things. 

Oh, well. The idiocy of this team isn't going to change anytime soon, so long as we have the same individuals making the decisions, and my waning fandom certainly isn't going to affect their employment status. 

Nice start from Kyle Lohse last night. Would have been more exciting to see a month ago when Lohse coming up with a big start would have had a real impact on the team's playoff chances, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers. Excitement! 

Anyhow, rather than just complaining for another couple thousand words, I'm just going to open up the floor to questions or comments. It's now roughly 7:45; I'll be here until about 10, maybe a little after. So let's have us a chat.
