The SB Nation iPhone app is a real thing; still no love for Newton users

Look: I'm as angry as you that SB Nation continues to ignore the thriving Newton MessagePad community, but it's been at least three or four days since we had an argument about mobile operating systems, and with that (and a very polite e-mail from the developers) in mind I'm pleased to announce the official release of the SB Nation iPhone app. If you're not interested in the frequently asked questions, search "SB Nation" in the App Store or click on this link to get the app and test it out yourself. It's free!

If you are interested in a screenshot, some frequently asked questions, and a very polite request from your host to add Viva El Birdos (and SB Nation St. Louis? Huh? Huh?) to your list of communities, follow the jump. If you're interested in today's front-page post, scroll down a little.

SB Nation iPhone app

This main screen, I'm told, is where the magic happens. In the Newton version you'll be able to flame me via handwriting-recognition technology.

If you have any questions or comments I'm told the dev team will be around the blogs today. Here, in the meantime, is some informative boilerplate:

  1. An Android version of the app is coming soon. Hopefully by the end of the year
  2. The app is free
  3. Comments are basic read-and-reply, but SB Nation has plans to enhance them in future updates
  4. You can use your existing SB Nation user name and password to log in to the app
