Game 131 Open Thread: Nationals at Cardinals

Stammen Boggs
4-6, 5.08 1-2, 4.58

Craig Stammen—who I am assured is a real person—has walked just 1.8 batters per nine innings in his first MLB stint, but he's not striking anybody out, either; if The New Joel Pineiro were indifferent to groundballs and gave up home runs about as often as Todd Wellemeyer (in other words, if he were 2008 Joel Pineiro), he would be Craig Stammen.

He and Mitchell Boggs would be a perfectly reasonable match-up in the AAA World Series, which means that the GOB will probably see fit to give us a ninety minute pitchers' duel.
