Yadi Out
I believe it was Goold (I may be mistaken, I try not to listen too closely very often) on 1380 a few minutes ago, and it sounds as if Yadi may be out up to six weeks. Me happy, this news does not make. The lone bright spot in the lineup during this season has been Jaddee.
In conclusion, the year continues to suck.

Eli and Falcon
ah, heck
How about this battery for tonight's game
Christianson
I was impressed with him at the time, although now that's 7 years ago. Great arm, seemed very mature and calm behind the plate, and hit with power.

Fritz -- you got a catcher's mitt stashed around
Catcher
Even in the outfield and infield we have replacement level players. . .Bennett is pretty terrible to be a starting catcher.
My 1992 Rawlings Lance Parrish
Now that I think about it, this injury may end up being much worse than it seems. We have seen what a wrist injury can do to great hitters -- D Lee, Nomar , et al -- but what will it do to a decent (at best) hitter who is just starting to put it together and find his stroke?
it could seriously hurt Yadi's development

per Goold..
Perfect storm
Edmonds' two surgeries
Kinney's elbow
Encarnacion's delayed arrival
LaRussa's DUI
Carpenter's elbow
Hancock's death
Yadi's wrist
Is Dunan's knee next?
Or is Rolen hurt again?
and has anyone else noticed that Spezio has all kinds of health stuff going on - he's great in a pinch off the bench but he's not always available when we need him.
Yowza. This will take some seriously strong character and leadership to keep the team from falling into complete disarray.

And Esposito it is
He has a career minor league OPS of .582. At least now Bennett has some competition for worst hitter on the team. (Wainwright, Looper and Wells have long since passed him.)
