10 Run Sundays

I'm sure many of you have already noticed this, but I find it very strange that we've had 10 Run Sundays each of the past three weeks while sputtering to produce anything during the rest of the week. The Cards have actually scored more runs on the last three Sundays than all the rest of the games combined.

4/22 - 12 runs
4/15 - 10 runs
4/8  - 10 runs
Sunday totals -  32 runs
Other 15 games - 30 runs

This anomaly is one of the stranger in recent memory. But for now, at least until we start to produce the other six days of the week, all I can say is I can't wait until April 29th!

I agree
It's almost depressing. Watching this game, I was saying to myself: "It'd be nice for this to spark some fire into Rolen, Edmonds, Pujols, and get them back on tra-- oh wait, it's a sunday."

I'm actually very excited for Tuesday's game, though, just to see if we can hopefully actually keep this rhythm. But then again, I was excited for last monday's game as well . . .

On with the youth movement!

Yeah, the only thing that compares
is the Mark Mulder Day/night split from two years ago.  But that was even less strange than this.

But this was a gritty, never give up win.  It would have been so easy for the team to crumble after falling behind in the 9th.  This gives me hope for the future.

Up late Val?
'cause if we had "fallen behind in the 9th" there would have been no 10th.

Ah, I know what you meant.  Just kiddin!!
