community projection III: duncan
you all know the drill by now. please remember to post your guesstimates in comma-delimited fashion --- no spaces between ###s --- to simplify the data-compilation process. and it's recommended that you not look at other people's projections until after you post your own.
here's duncan's career line (including minor-league numbers). his slugging avg in the big leagues last year was 140 points higher than his slg in a year and a half at triple a; fluke, or real development by an emerging talent? you make the call. projection categories:

Duncan Donuts
Walks down, but power stays hitting in front of Pujols.
He also gets 500 at-bats thanks to improved defense and the platoon OFs saved for the feeble edmonds.

Force or Fluke? Hope he's our next home-grown lefty power bat. If he can hit the line I've given him here, there should be no way the Cards offense will be as bad as some of these projections are showing.

Dunc
Ever compare Dunc's 06 with Ryan Howards 05? Scary close. I'm not saying MVP, but I'm giving optimism here.
Wow
If you neutralize the stats Duncan looks better than Howard.
Oh god please Duncan don't be Jim Lindeman.
Duncan - leaning toward fluke...

Duncan - Jenkins Like?

Funny story - Back in 2004 I went out to Arizona for spring training for spring break with a bunch of buddies. We arrived Sunday morning and just decided to go to the closest game which was a Brewers-Angels game. We sat in the grass in left field. Jenkins was playing left and by the third batter he already had 2 errors. We started razzing him pretty bad and after the third pitch to the fourth batter he turned around and gave us the bird. Very next pitch, fly ball in the gap, Jenkins floated over, lost the ball in the sun, and ball bounced off his glove for error number three. By the second inning he was playing right field, which i would like to think was some of my doing.
Sorry

OPS of .901 with a lot of time lost due to platooning. I think I'd rather have him notch an OPS of .850 in 610 ABs, but that's just me.
Depends on where he hits...
