SP
SP Barry Zito (OAK): W-L 5-3 IP 75.1 K 56 BB 34 ERA 2.87...would take a lot to get him and is highly unlikely to be dealt (Salary=$7.9M)
SP John Thomson (ATL): W-L 2-5 IP 62 K 37 BB 24 ERA 4.65...wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Supp or Marquis (Salary=$4.75M)
SP Jason Schmidt (SF): W-L 5-2 IP 80 K 61 BB 25 ERA 2.70...would make a great 1-2 punch with Carp (Salary=$10.5M)
SP Dontrelle Willis (FLA): W-L 2-6 IP 76.1 K 43 BB 26 ERA 4.72...is young and is cheap right now (Salary=$4.35M)
SP Livan Hernandez (WAS): W-L 5-5 IP 83.2 K 50 BB 30 ERA 5.16...is an innings-eater, but they are asking for milledge from NYM (Salary=$8M)
SP Oliver Perez (PIT): W-L 2-6 IP 55.2 K 49 BB 38 ERA 5.98...maybe TLR and Dunc can turn him around (Salary=$1.9M)

of these players, my top five would be:

  1. Miguel Cabrera
  2. Alfonso Soriano
  3. Jason Schmidt
  4. Dontrelle Willis
  5. Carl Crawford
I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks, and what your top five choices would be?
