USA Today's story : "Tampa Bay: Veteran RH reliever Al Reyes was signed to a minor league contract and could help the Rays later this season. "I'm not anticipating anything in the near future," he said. ..."

hard to imagine
thanks for pointing this out, acr --- it's a microscopic item, hard to find any reportage about it.
here's a usa today link.
and here's what the rays' official site had to say: "The team signed righty Al Reyes to a Minor League deal with a Spring Training invite on Sunday. Reyes, a 35-year-old 13-year Major League veteran most recently with the Cardinals, is at the tail end of rehabilitating his arm from Tommy John surgery in the fall."
