Earlier this offseason, the Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo reported that the Cardinals had long been interested in Jung-ho Kang, who was posted by the Nexen Heroes this offseason. Now ESPN's Jerry Crasnick has tweeted that the Cardinals were not the highest bidder for the negotiating rights to the shortstop.
