Royals' DeJesus leaves game

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Kansas City Royals right fielder David DeJesus left Wednesday's game against Detroit due to tightness in his right hip flexor. He's day-to-day.

DeJesus had a 14-game hitting streak coming into the game, but he led off with a strikeout before being replaced by Joey Gathright.

For the season, DeJesus has an average of .307 with 12 homers and 73 RBI.
