Angels' Rivera leaves game early

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Juan Rivera left Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners in the eighth inning after straining his right hip flexor after hitting a double.
As he left the batter's box, Rivera was clearly in pain and by the time he reached second it was obvious he couldn't stay in the game.
Before leaving, though, he made his presence felt as he recorded his first- career four extra-base hit game. Rivera finished with three doubles, a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored. His efforts were overshadowed, however, as Francisco Rodriguez recorded his record-setting 58th save of the year.
