a collection of Cardinals-related writing
From 9/4/1967. Explains how the team became El Birdos. Figured this should be fanshotted since I don't think lboros' explanation made it through the SBN3.0 conversion.
ZiPS has Albert Pujols with a .354 wOBA for next year. Not great. That would be the lowest wOBA of his career though only .006 points below his 2011 campaign when he was worth 3.9 fWAR. Mike Trout projects for a .378 wOBA, 29 HRs and 47 steals. He won the MVP in 2012, right? Surely he won the MVP in 2012...
This is an awesome game, and a chance to look back on when half the dang Cardinals roster played for the Memphis Redbirds. The only problem is that they lost to Durham in a walk-off.
Perfect gift idea for the perfect Giants fan! [link removed as spam]
My friends over at the RFT are asking St. Louis-area musicians to name their favorite St. Louis releases of 2012. If you answer to that description, they'd love your vote.
Alan Nathan of the U of Illinois breaks down Pence's broken bat double that made Kozma look foolish.
I wrote a piece for RFT Music about how I can't separate the 2004 Cardinals and the Black Eyed Peas
where I get philosophical about baseball
