One of my personal favorites of all of the photos I've taken. The composition isn't perfect, but I don't really care. RIP Stan. "The Man" (via Thewmatt)
The picture above of Matt Carpenter got me thinking about his swing, and what I think may be a problem with it. If I'm right, what he does with his front elbow will create a hole in his swing at the top of the strike zone. I'm looking for ideas about how to determine whether such a hole truly exists.
ZiPS has Albert Pujols with a .354 wOBA for next year. Not great. That would be the lowest wOBA of his career though only .006 points below his 2011 campaign when he was worth 3.9 fWAR. Mike Trout projects for a .378 wOBA, 29 HRs and 47 steals. He won the MVP in 2012, right? Surely he won the MVP in 2012...
This is an awesome game, and a chance to look back on when half the dang Cardinals roster played for the Memphis Redbirds. The only problem is that they lost to Durham in a walk-off.

My friends over at the RFT are asking St. Louis-area musicians to name their favorite St. Louis releases of 2012. If you answer to that description, they'd love your vote.
