Memphis 5, Albuquerque 12
- Kolten Wong was 3-for-4 with a double.
- Jermaine Curtis was 2-for-3 with a walk.
- Jaime Romak was 2-for-4 with a home run.
- Boone Whiting was hit around for 8 runs (6 earned) on 10 hits in 4 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 2. Albuquerque is definitely a hitter's park but still a sub-par showing for Whiting.
- Victor Marte was lit up in the 8th for 4 runs. So glad we still have him in the system.
Peoria 10, Cedar Rapids 9
- A Cedar Rapids meltdown in the 9th let Peoria score 5 runs off 3 relievers and win the game.
- Breyvic Valera was 1-for-4 with a walk.
- Patrick Wisdom and Ildemaro Vargas both went 2-for-4. Wisdom doubled. Despite an absolutely terrible batting average, Wisdom has shown big time power (ISO > .200) and the ability to draw a lot of walks. It's kept his overall OPS afloat (.775) despite a very low batting average (.231). Strikeouts will be worth watching with Wisdom as he moves up a level.
- Jeremy Schaffer was 1-for-5 with a home run.
- Silfredo Garcia allowed 3 runs in 4.2 innings on 7 hits. He struck out 3 and walked 2.
- Robert Stock and Dixon Llorens both pitched scoreless frames striking out 2 and 3 respectively.
