Memphis 5, New Orleans 2

Springfield 12, Jacksonville 7

  • Boone Whiting walked 3 and allowed 2 hits. He managed to keep the board clear in his 2.2 innings, however.
  • Travis Miller pitched 2 perfect innings striking out 3.
  • Kevin Thomas was rocked for 5 runs (4 earned) in 1.2 innings.
  • Iden Nazario was responsible for the other 2 runs -- both unearned -- in his 2 innings of work. He struck out 1 and allowed 2 hits.
  • Xavier Scruggs was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.
  • Patrick Wisdom was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
  • Nick Longmire was 2-for-4 with a walk.
  • Stephen Piscotty singled and walked.
  • Nick Martini, who has had a surprisingly good spring, was 2-for-3.

Palm Beach 7, Jupiter 5

  • Dail Villanueva allowed 7 hits in 2.1 innings. He was tagged for 4 runs (3 earned) while striking out 1.
  • Lee Stoppelman struck out 4 in 2 innings. He held Jupiter scoreless while allowing 2 hits and a walk.
  • Heath Wyatt struck out 1 and allowed 1 hit in 2 innings.
  • Carson Kelly continues to tantalize with a 3-for-3 outing that included a double.
  • Matt Young was 3-for-4 with a home run. This home run was the most exciting of home runs: inside the park.
  • Adam Erhlich was 3-for-4.
  • Steven Ramos and Jacob Wilson both went 2-for-4 with a double.

Peoria First Team 1, Greensboro 3

  • Kurt Heyer struck out 5 in 4 innings allowing 2 hits.
  • Hansel de los Santos allowed 2 hits in 3 scoreless innings.
  • Willy Paulino allowed 1 run on 3 hits and 1 run in 1.2 innings.
  • Lance Jeffries was walked and hit by a pitch. He stole two bases.
  • Anthony Melchionda was 2-for-5 with a double.

Peoria Second Team 4, Marlins Fifth Team 5

  • Nick Greenwood struck out 3 in 3 innings. He allowed 2 hits.
  • Steve Sabatino was lit up for 5 runs in 1.1 innings.
  • Dixon Llorens pitched 2 scoreless innings. He struck out 1 and allowed 2 hits.
  • Rafael Medino went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a walk.
  • Amaury Capellan was 2-for-4 with a double.
  • Jose Godoy was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles.
