A surprise player takes the mound for Peoria and Mike O'Neill gets back to hitting all of the baseballs.
Memphis 4, Las Vegas 2
- Boone Whiting struck out 4 in 2 innings of work. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk.
- Jorge Rondon allowed a hit and a walk for an unearned run in 0.2 innings pitched. Rondon has the pure stuff to be a good reliever but lacks the command to place it consistently in the strike zone. This is still the kind of arm you give lots of second chances to, however.
- Barrett Browning struck out 4 in 2 innings of work. He allowed 1 hit and 1 walk for 1 ER.
- Dean Kiekhefer allowed 3 hits in 2 innings but escaped unscathed striking out 1.
- Chad Huffman, an outfielder who has spent the last two seasons with the Indians AAA ball club, hit a 3 run home run in the first inning and would later add a double and a walk to his tally.
- Mike O'Neill was 3-for-4 with a double.
Springfield 3, Binghamton 6

Peoria 5, Savannah 7
- A 3-run home run in the 9th undid a Peoria lead.
- Dail Villanueva struck out 3 allowing 2 hits in 2 innings.
- Garrett Wittels allowed 4 ER in 2 innings pitched. He walked 2 and was tagged for 2 hits while striking out 1. Wittels recorded a plate appearance at 4 different levels of the system last year. This is the first I've seen mentioning his conversion to pitching from shorstop/third base.
- Jeff Rauh allowed 3 hits and a walk during his inning of work. He was roughed up for 3 runs.
- Luis Perez went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.
- Reggie Williams was 2-for-4.
