The Rising Stars game, a kind of All-Star game in the AFL, will take place tomorrow at 7:10 CDT. It will be broadcast on the MLB Network. Kolten Wong is the only Cardinals' player on the roster after Sam Freeman was shutdown by injuries.
- Kolten Wong, 2B, was 1-for-4 with a walk. He's hitting .317/.339/.383, which strikes me as underwhelming for the AFL, but I've not seen league averages for this year yet. The lack of power in the AFL coupled with the modest power in 2012 at Springfield is a little concerning. Hopefully Wong isn't turning into a slap hitter.
