I just read that the Red Sox got busted for violating international signing rules. All their recent signings are voided and they don't get to participate in the 2016-2017 international signing period.
This is good news for the Cardinals as it adds more players into the international signing pool of talent. I can't remember if the Red Sox were expected to be big players this year, but any way you slice it, one less team competing for players is a good thing for the Cardinals.
But I wonder if the strictness of the punishment may set a precedent for what the Cardinals might face for hacking the Astros.
