Luke Voigt and Jacob Wilson continue to hit in their new assignments, and Peoria keeps the system from getting blanked.

Oklahoma City 8 - Memphis 6

  • Memphis scored 4 in the 2nd and 1 more in the 3rd, but Scott McGregor gave the lead back. Memphis took the lead again in the top of the 6th, but Kurt Heyer gave up a 2 run shot to Jon Singleton and Oklahoma City led the rest of the game.
  • Thomas Pham has only had 80 at bats this season, and is slashing .275/.341/.463. With Randal Grichuk and Oscar Taveras in St. Louis Pham could benefit from extended playing time.

Frisco 9 - Springfield 1

  • Jacob Wilson (2B): 1-3, R, HR, RBI, BB, K
  • Cody Stanley (DH): 1-4, K
  • Patrick Wisdom (3B): 2-4
  • Sam Gaviglio (SP): 4.1 IP, 11 H, 7 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
  • Frisco took an early lead, scoring 3 in the 1st on Sam Gaviglio. The floodgates opened in the 5th, Frisco scored 5 runs to blow the game open and go up by 9.    
  • Jacob Wilson continued his assault on the Texas League. His 3rd home run of the season was the only offensive highlight for Springfield.
  • Nick Martini made his debut for Springfield after being called up from Palm Beach after Friday night's game.

Lakeland 7 - Palm Beach 5

  • Ildemaro Vargas (2B): 1-4, RBI

  • Palm Beach took the lead early, but Lakeland took the lead right back with a 5 run 4th inning. The Cardinals came back in the top of the 5th and cut the lead to 1 and then tie it up in the 8th. Lakeland scored twice in the bottom of the 8th to take the lead for good. 
  • Luke Voit's hit his 2nd triple since being called up. He now has 6 extra base hits (2 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR) in 11 Florida State League games.

Peoria 5 - Kane County 3

  • C.J. McElroy (CF): 0-4
  • Vaughn Bryan (RF): 0-3, R, BB, K
  • Juan Herrera (SS): 2-3, R, BB, SB
  • Ronald Castillo (DH): 1-4, K

  • Chris Perry (RP): 1.1 IP, 3 K
  • Palm Beach trailed for most of the game, but they rallied late scoring 2 in the 7th and 3 in the 8th to win the game and save the system from a winless night.
  • Juan Herrera's stolen base was his team leading 21st.
  • Chris Perry is up to 59 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.
