Allen Craig is a RBI machine for sure. After hitting 22 homers and 92 RBI's in just 119 games in 2012. I would have thought he would be a 30 home run and 100 RBI man for sure in 2013. Instead he hit 13 homers and 97 RBI's. The RBI's are close to 100, but he probably would have reached 100 RBI's if he didn't get injured. The major difference in his numbers are his home runs. The home runs went from 22 in 119 games to 13 in 134 games. This mysterious drop in power didn't affect his RBI total, but it gets me wondering. In the future, is Allen Craig going to hit for power or just for RBI's. To me, it doesn't matter if Craig hits a lot of home runs because he still was the big RBI machine in 2013. I guess we will have to see what type of hitter he will be after the 2014 season is done.
My only worry for Craig is his slow start to 2014. I'm sure as the season progresses, he will put together a very solid season. But how soon will he start catching fire? No one knows for sure, but the sooner the better.
So what type of hitter do think Allen Craig will be in the 2014 season? A home run hitter or just a base-hit hitter.
