Realistic Offseason Moves

I'm gonna join in and make some St. Louis Cardinal offseason moves of what I'd do.

Sign Michael Morse 2 yr 19 mil.

Solving the issue in right field honestly isn't that hard. No way would I trade good prospects for Carlos Gonzalez, who hasn't hit well way from Coors Field. I also wouldn't trade any elite prospects for Jason Heyward or Justin Upton because I know neither of them would agree to an extensin since both want to test the free agent market. On the free agent side, I think signing Nick Markakis would be a bad signing because I feel he is a bit overrated and personally, I don't want to sign anyone for 2+ years. I wouldn't want to sign Nelson Cruz due to his age and he'd also want 2+ years. So that leads to Morse. Yes, I know he's not a good defender, but does have power that the Cardinals need most. So signing him wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sign Luke Gregoson 2 yr 18 mil.

Gregorson is a proven relief pitcher that would help the cardinals a bunch. I really want to stay away from Andrew Miller because he'd be really expensive.

Trade Randal Grichuk for Christian Arroyo.

Signing Morse would mean Randal Grichuk being the odd man out. I would also envision Arroya being the Peralta replacement at the end of his contract. Plus the giants don't really need Arroyo since they already have a long-term shortstop in Brandon Crawford, and could use Grichuk as a replacement for Morse.

Sign Geovanny Soto.

Soto would be a good addition to the cardinals since he is without a doubt an upgrade over Tony Cruz, has great defensive skills and also has a little pop in his bat.

Trade Randy Choate a career minor leaguer.

Don't know who really to trade Randy Choate for, so a player not worth much is what I'd be seeking for.

Also, I'd non-tender Shane Robinson and Daniel Descalso.

So when all these moves made, here is the 2015 cardinals roster.

C Molina, 1B Adams, 2B Wong, 3B Carpenter, SS Peralta, LF Holliday, CF Jay, RF Morse

Bench: Utility Guys Dean Anna & Greg Garcia, C Soto, 1B Scruggs, OF Bourjos

Bullpen: Maness, Martinez, Freeman, Marco, Tuivailala, Gregorson, Rosenthal
