Greg Amsinger (sp?) of MLB Network (and unabashed cardinals fan) was on the radio today and said that he thought a great option for the Cardinals would be to trade for Brendan Ryan. He said that Seattle has a SS coming up to replace him, and that the Cardinals don't need offense from SS, but rather would benefit more from the stellar defense that he offers. He went on to say that his past troubles came primarily from TLR and Carp, both of whom are gone-ish by now. He also pointed out that Ryan has matured by this point. I thought it was really interesting and have always loved Boog because of his amazing defense. I mean, he may hit like cedeno-lite, but gloves way better...
