Just passing this along. I've never been to a Redbirds game and don't have a whole lot to add, but this is a really interesting article because it talks about public financing and the Cardinals. I didn't realize A) that franchises typically don't own their minor league affiliates and B) that the Cardinals almost became one of two teams to do so.

Speaking of public financing of professional stadiums, I'm unclear on the financing for "new" Busch; who paid for that? And who is paying for ballpark village?
