My Case for Signing Juan Uribe

So,we aren't even at the winter meetings and we have our answers at both CF and SS. Our rotation and bullpen has yet to be decided but the pieces are already in place. Admit it, you've already wrote down our opening day batting order too. Time for first pitch, right?

Hold on one minute. I feel like something is missing.

What if Kolten Wong doesn't hit? Well I gues Carp would move to 2nd, Peralta to 3rd, and Kozma would be our SS. Oh. Kozma. Uh-oh. Or we could use Descalso at 2nd and keep Carp and Jhonny (don't spell me Johnny)Peralta where they belong. Either way I am not beaming with confidence.

This is where Juan Uribe comes in. Not only would he give us a very solid right-handed bat, much meeded infield depth, he also gives us Kolten Wong insurance. He can most likely be signed at a one year deal so there is minimal financial risk and we stil have the flexibility to do so.

Now, don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't have faith in Kolten Wong, I just want this team that is very much capable to win a title in 2014, to win a title in 2014. I believe Juan Uribe is one step closer to dotting our I's and crossing our T's in our pursuit of this.
