First of all, congratulations to secondhalfmatt for stealing away the Waino bobblehead for $40. It was a win-win situation as we got a higher donation and I'm saving the shipping costs by hand delivering at the race.

Now, on to the next item up for bid. The next item: Ozzie Smith Bobblehead, as pictured below. This item was a giveaway at the August 2nd, 2009 Cardinals game which lives in infamy due to K-Mac blowing a huge lead Wainwright handed over and costing Waino his 20th win and (because BBWAA is full of idiots) the Cy Young Award.

This sweet bobblehead features Ozzie laid out in a familiar dive in that beautiful Victory Blue uniform, which everyone agrees should be used as an alternative uniform every year for at least six games.

I've made some changes in the bidding process: You will bid by emailing your TOP DOLLAR and USER NAME to me at sarnold (dot) dpt @ gmail (dot) com. I will then post whoever has the highest bid and what the lowest dollar amount five dollars over the previous high amount is. Starting bid will begin at $50. If the person who makes the first bid enters $100, I will post that the person is the high bidder at $50. If someone else comes along and bids $50, the first person will then be listed as the high bidder at $55. Make sense?

This auction will be open until 10:00 PM on Sunday, August 12th. Again, I will be sharing this auction on other mediums but the new system will keep everything flowing better and easier for me to keep up with. If someone outside of VEB is the top bidder, I will post them as the high bidder by the medium that they stumbled onto the item by (e.g. "Facebook Bidder- $50")

As with the previous auction, I will cover the shipping costs. Method of delivery will depend on the location of the winning bid. Payment will be made through the donation site, so that the money doesn't have to change hands multiple times. I ask that you make this donation in my name, so that I can confirm that the donation has taken place and can ship the item out.
