i don't really believe the lance lynn-is-getting-tired narrative that you see making its rounds. his velocity is totally normal. he's had a few bad games (and it was a little hot there, for a while). without more, i don't think three games makes a trend. it also seems like an arbitrary end point issue. those three games were bad (17 ER, 4HR, 12K:7BB), yes, but he struck out 23 batters in the two games prior to those and allowed 2 runs in more than 13 innings.
anyway, this is the last of a four-game series, which we lead 2-1. a three game series against the marlins rounds out our homestand and leads us into the all-star break.
