Yes, the combination of Allen Craig and Lance Berkman would be higher in the rankings - top 10 even. And yes, this statistic isn't a complete picture of offensive value. Yadi Molina, our MVP candidate, is dead last - 79 out of 79 - in this stat, and I wouldn't change a thing about Yadi's performance this season. But when 6 out of your starting 9 are in the bottom half of the league, I wonder whether it makes an impact on our ability to wear out opposing pitchers.
So I pose to you the question - is this a problem, or is it just an indicator that shows we put the ball in play a lot?
