Cards draft pick James Ramsey has been named co-winner of ABCA player of the year. Previous Florida State players to win this award are reported to be Buster Posey and J. D. Drew.

Ramsey's Florida State team was recently eliminated from the College World Series so I hope we'll see reports of his signing soon. The report on the award can be read here in a florida State Press release.

I know James was not a popular choice with the regulars on this site and I hope this generates some positive feeling for a young man who I know and like.
