This has been a difficult season. Lots of injuries. But Mozeliak has done a great job since he became GM, better than I would have thought, and I was a fan of Walt Jocketty. I like Matheny, I think he will be good, it was a bold choice, and one I think will work out. I like the idea of hiring from within, creating continuity, building an organization, all good things. All that being said, we need a pitching coach. Now. Lilliquist is not a pitching coach, he is a bullpen coach. We all would have liked to have Duncan come back, but it ain't happening. The bullpen and staff needs the direction a real pitching coach would give it, there are talented arms. Can we please get a real pitching coach. Go Cardinals!
