So I frequent both the Rays and Cards boards and over there they got the idea that Matt Carpenter could replace Pena as their 1b (probably from playoff publicity... they also think Kozma is an everyday SS). They had the feeling we need Davis/Niemann for SP but I already know with Wain, Carp, Garcia, Westbrook, Lynn, Kelly, Rosenthal and Miller all in the running we have some deep starting pitching. I just thought since M Carp is working out at 2b and is our UT/PH guy so Matt Adams could be available since he's blocked by Craig, Holliday, Taveras. Maybe an Adams for Jake McGee trade could help both sides. I see people on here saying Adams would be an asset off the bench (which his power would), but with his track record he does deserve to be an everyday player and I see the Cards preferring to keep him in AAA playing everyday then on the bench.
