Did everyone forget about Matt Adams? I know he didn't do too great in his audition in 2012, but he does rake. Craig's played second base before. If they want to convert an inferior glove to add another bat to the lineup I'd love to see Craig over Carp at 2b. Theres always Descalso for a late inning defensive replacement. According to broadcasters who only watch two or three Cards games a season Freese is a defensive liability and is always removed in the late innings for Descalso. While from what I've seen I think Freese is a plus defender and is removed because he is made of glass. With Freese looking like he upped his calcium intake and is full season durable I really think Craig starting at 2b and Descalso backing him up would improve the lineup. I don't remember Craig's defensive ability at second, but unless it's complete shit I'm pretty sure he would be an all star based on his offense alone.
