This is still a great team that will be near the top of favorites next year

Just wanted to say, the team may have fallen apart this series, but I still believe this is a great team. As long as they can remain healthy next year, make sure to keep all the top guys like Beltran, maybe add one more quality hitter as well as some lefty arms in the pen (maybe in the rotation), and this will be about as complete a team as there is next year. The problem this series was all the thunder in this lineup was injured. Once Craig, Holliday, and Beltran are healthy, plus add in Furcal on top of that, maybe another bat, and you have an elite lineup up and down. Jay - Furcal - Beltran - Holliday - Craig - Molina - Freese, I mean Freese is your #7 hitter, and that's without even adding another top bat, plus maybe Berkman rebounds. That's why I mentioned adding another top hitter. The Cardinals already have so many B+ hitters, there isn't room for all of them. The only way to get better now is to actually replace one of those B+ hitters with an A hitter.

Anyway the point is this lineup, when healthy, is still deep and talented, and when Chris Carpenter is healthy, the rotation is quality. The Cards really got into trouble this series by only starting Wainright once in a seven game series. How the hell did this happen? Wish he had started today.

Anyway, this is a quality team, just needs a little bit more added to it, plus a lot better health, and they're in business.
