Stan Musial Society

I have read somewhere that there is a Stan Musial Society in Washington, DC, but I cannot recall where I read it. I have been living in DC for the last couple of years and I am interested in attending their annual meeting. Does anyone have an information on this group and if/how they can be reached? Thanks!

Also, does anyone know of a Cardinal friendly bar in DC or Northern Virginia?

FInally, this sentence should about put me at the minimum words requirement.

There obviously is a Stan Musial Society

and Washington, DC evidently has a chapter (or at least as late as 1990) as evidenced by this article,.

DC doesn't just

“have a chapter,” it’s the home of the SMS. I contacted them about 6-7 years ago and got a letter from Frank Mankiewics’ firm giving info and how to attend functions, etc. I never followed up on it and don’t know the status of it now.

Although, I came across the old ones mentioned by ridgesee and bgh over and over again. Side note I found several links to the Stan Musial Baseball League facebook one here

Stan Musial Society

The Society rule is “To meet seldom , if ever.” Last meeting (actually a lunch at a DC hotel) was three or so years ago. Since death of Frank Mankiewicz’s secretary and of Marty Hendin, Cards VP, there have been none.Look up Frank. We should celebrate WS of 2011
