just we're excited tuesday morning
and wednesday and thursday!
I may be in a rut, but at least I know where I'm going
...to DFA TLR
Had to go to a picnic related to my wife's work with the Birds down 2-1 and Braves down 1-0
Needless to say I was quite pleased to find out how things turned out when I got back half an hour ago. I’m not even dwelling too much on Thursday’s debacle, as easy as it would be to focus on how we’d be tied without all the shit that happened in that 9th inning. I’m just so fucking jazzed that we’re going into the last series of the season down by a single game, and the team we’re trying to catch will get Lee-Oswalt-Hamels.

Also, just hypothetically should it go to a playoff the Braves will have burned Hudson the game before

Matchup-wise
Jaime vs. Wandy
Westbrook vs. Sosa
Carp vs. Myers
Let’s hope Berk berks to town the next few days!
He had two huge series in Hou earlier.
Would love to see more of that.

Also, I assume Ryan Howard will be playing all three games to shake off some rust before the playoffs,
and maybe he can do a solid for his home-town team.

Wow, I didn't realize this
The Cardinals are 4-2 in their last 6 games. In each of those 4, they trailed going into the bottom of the 7th.
This team is in playoff mode and I like it!
He still needs 2 ribbies for the statheads.

Naw
He kept trying to use it, but the timeline kept finding ways to foil him. Like, the players he coveted ended up with ridiculous injuries when we went back and drafted them, and then he’d put them on waivers, and the original guy would scoop them up and they’d come back and be awesome.

I went to a trivia night at this bar once with my friends
The questions were all surprisingly hard and our team wasn’t doing too well. Then suddenly there was a baseball question! I got hopeful.
The question was, when was the first world series, which teams played, and who won?
We were all kind of stunned cause none of us had that kind of detailed knowledge in our brain. Except my friend Bob, who suddenly blurted out, “1903, Boston over Pittsburgh… I think!”
When we asked how in the hell he knew that and could recall it so quickly he said “well, when I was a kid for a while all I did was read baseball books.”
