I may be in a rut, but at least I know where I'm going

Had to go to a picnic related to my wife's work with the Birds down 2-1 and Braves down 1-0

Needless to say I was quite pleased to find out how things turned out when I got back half an hour ago. I’m not even dwelling too much on Thursday’s debacle, as easy as it would be to focus on how we’d be tied without all the shit that happened in that 9th inning. I’m just so fucking jazzed that we’re going into the last series of the season down by a single game, and the team we’re trying to catch will get Lee-Oswalt-Hamels.

Matchup-wise

Jaime vs. Wandy
Westbrook vs. Sosa
Carp vs. Myers

Let’s hope Berk berks to town the next few days!

This team is in playoff mode and I like it!

Naw

He kept trying to use it, but the timeline kept finding ways to foil him. Like, the players he coveted ended up with ridiculous injuries when we went back and drafted them, and then he’d put them on waivers, and the original guy would scoop them up and they’d come back and be awesome.

I went to a trivia night at this bar once with my friends

The questions were all surprisingly hard and our team wasn’t doing too well. Then suddenly there was a baseball question! I got hopeful.

The question was, when was the first world series, which teams played, and who won?

We were all kind of stunned cause none of us had that kind of detailed knowledge in our brain. Except my friend Bob, who suddenly blurted out, “1903, Boston over Pittsburgh… I think!”

When we asked how in the hell he knew that and could recall it so quickly he said “well, when I was a kid for a while all I did was read baseball books.”

I would watch this show

if Chairman Kaga floated in and started telling a folk story (in subtitles, not dubbed) about, if memory serves him correct, an old abandoned restaurant that the towns people claim is haunted.

Possible Plan B...

if Pujols leaves… Berkman to first, Craig to right, and, as a platoon partner, in the tradition of Larry Walker and Lance Berkman, good for 300 at bats a year, a guy we could pick up on a one year deal… JD Drew

Good idea, eh?

Tony comes to love Drew’s veteran presence and leadership. And then he gets way too much playing time and we trade Allen Craig. MWAHAHAHAHA

Kinda the opposite with upcoming opponents. Tampa has to get past the Yanks while Cards get the ’Stros. Meanwhile, the Braves get the Phils, while the BoSox get the Orioles.

Above him rested his locker’s nameplate. It featured his name and No. 5 uniform number. The nameplate was plastic and sat on metal rails. It could easily be removed or sit there forever.

This reads like one of those standardized testing questions. Which line should be removed?
