Going 12-4 would involve winning each of the remaining series with one of those series wins being a sweep.
That seems very doable.

Ok, just got home and just in time to see a Patterson K.
Looking at the box score, what the HOLY HELL happened tonight? It looks like Memphis vomited pinch runners all over the scorecard.
Is this just a “meh, TLR” thing? ‘Cause it seems odd that he’d just decide not to play ….you know what, I don’t even have the strength to care anymore.

Has anyone heard of this modern take on Peter Pan titled “Pan”?
Brief summary:
The Pan movie in question refashions Barrie’s fantastical tale as a modern-day detective murder mystery where Peter Pan is literally "the boy who never grew up" – that is, a killer with a youthful appearance who prefers to kidnap children.
EW has confirmed that Aaron Eckhart (Battle: Los Angeles, The Dark Knight) has been cast in Pan as Hook, a former detective who takes on the task of hunting down the diabolical titular killer. Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings) will play Smee, a member of the police force and Hook’s only ally. Soul Surfer star AnnaSophia Robb is also set to appear in the film as Pan’s sole surviving (former) victim (Wendy).

So, basically, stretching my arm as far up as it can go. Later my shoulder started to hurt. This morning it hurt pretty bad. There’s not any one motion that makes it hurt the most, and I think I have full strength in it. It just aches. Little twinges all over. When I walk down steps, the gravity makes it hurt.
Any guess on what I did? And should I do anything other than 2 aleve 2x/day?
Is Jon Jay the next Willie McGee? Is Arthur Rhodes the next Arthur Rhodes?
not real sure
sounds like you have a little joint laxity if it hurts from the jolt of walking down stairs. Should be fine in a couple of days. Keep up the nsaids and put a cold pack on it if you need to.

the next 9 hitters for the Marlins do not.

Well, that was quite the clusterfuck.
Infante boots a grounder, throws wildly to first, first baseman goes into baseline and collides with Chipper.

and Corey F Patterson is taking one of the biggest at bats of the year for the Cards and Javier Vazquez is running for the Marlins.
Well, the Marlins came through at least.

I’m in such a weird mood tonight.
Is Jon Jay the next Willie McGee? Is Arthur Rhodes the next Arthur Rhodes?
I'd totally photo-shop TLR and Patterson in there if I could.
Or maybe Albert and Stanton.

meh. He won us games too (to the extent that a manager can). I don't want him to be our manager anymore, but I think we overstate how important his mistakes have been to our team.

I wasn't able to watch the game tonight, so I can't comment on the specifics.
It’s impossible to quantify the whole of a manager’s decisions and the effect it has on a game. There are simply too many variables, man of which we’re not aware of. Again, I’m not saying I want him back next year, but I think that
A) Managers really don’t make a huge difference over the course of a season
B) TLR seems to have had a bad season as far as in-game decisions, but not markedly worse than what I’d expect of most managers
Is Jon Jay the next Willie McGee? Is Arthur Rhodes the next Arthur Rhodes?
I agree

I think he costs us quite a few
but I would agree that another manager would probably do about the same.
In short, major league managing in general is pretty freakin’ far from optimal.

I think part of Tony's image issue with us
is that he just seems so damned smug about things. He’d probably benefit in a PR sense by NOT doing the post-game conferences on live tv.
I think it's always frustrating to see people make the same stupid mistakes, or use the same bad logic repeatedly.
Even more so if you’re subjected to it for a decade and a half. A new guy may not be better, but it would probably be less infuriating.
