We have a frustrating team as well, though in different ways. It feels like it’s been a year of one step forward, one step back.

yeah i understand
we were over 10 games under at the end of june, which is telling. we’ve been playing like.600 ball all year, except for one month.
heres something. we went 5-25 in june. if you put that JUST at .500, were ahead of the Braves and in the drivers seat. ridiculous isnt it?

Must be pretty tough being in a division with the Phillies and Braves, though
I think they might be the best two teams in the NL on paper. Not quite as bad as the ALE but not far off. You’d still be well in the playoff hunt in the NLC.

Got to be a culture thing, in the Korean Baseball League, after a pitcher plunks a batter, he’ll generally tip is hat and do a half bow to the batter, I’ve only seen one guy take a few steps out of the batters box toward the mound, the ump intervened most promptly, but the benches still emptied. The batters here just take it, and lot of times will hardly move out of the way just to get on base.
