Too bad there isn't any pitch data to see how many he threw, but with 11 Ks in 4 IP, I would guess he was pretty close to topping out for the day. The other plus, is that the only out not recorded by way of K was a groundout, so Dave Duncan would have been pleased.

I heard it was only 77 pitches.

Quad Cities starting staff is going to be unreal. That’s a really interesting team now with the pitching and Longmire, Taveras, Stanley, Stock, etc.

77 pitches through 4 innings

is not that small a number. He threw too many pitches to the guys he didn’t strike out.

Still, this is quite a line, and Rosenthal looks like somebody to watch.
