"No, it seems to me that Wednesday night isn’t what makes baseball great. It’s all the years you spend waiting for Wednesday night that makes baseball great."--Posnanski
Scoring a run.
Since Halladay is quite capable of stringing some 8-10 pitch innings together, making the ‘30’ number pointless.
scoring one run -
when cliff lee is potentially coming in next, getting halladay out early loses some importance

k-rod is bad to his elders...
greinke is moody, and fielder won’t forgive his father.
fucked up bunch of guys…
yeah, k-rod's legitimately a bad guy, I forgot about him
I love greinke though, and cecil fielder is an impossibly creepy guy who I probably wouldn’t forgive either.
I was under the impression that Greinke had issues more like Khalil?
Fielder’s issues with his dad, and his unwillingness to talk to the guy are a bit uncomfortable. Makes it a bit harder to root for him, but I can’t hate him for it. He knows a heck of a lot more about his dad than I do.
I wouldn't forgive Cecil either, actually.
No, I’d forgive him, but I’d break contact just like Prince did.

Fielder in particular seems like he's toned it down a little this year

Eh, I don't that the Brewers, but Nyjer Morgan is pretty clearly a jack ass.
Which isn’t the worst thing in the world, but sure is annoying and pretty much impossible to root for.
The other guys I can pretty much take or leave. I always kinda liked Corey Hart. I find Fielder interesting as a player because of the way he’s built, but I’ve found him a bit off putting at times too.
It's a combination of
Certain players making questionable comments and/or actions, and the fact that they were our competition.

North of Wrigley on Sheffield/Sheridan, obviously, if you’re familiar with it. Good nonassuming bar with cheap drafts ($2.00).

Al: You know what they call a butterfly without wings Dan?

looked high
caught it at the top of the zone, and it was a big curve, so it was higher when it crossed the plate
I think the little blue box is not that accurate
It was close enough that it could have been called or not
