I understand not giving her a 7th inning stretch performance for a national audience, but she’s local and nationally known. They could suck it up and give her the national anthem.

Here was baseball’s transcendent player exactly where he belongs: preparing for his third appearance on his sport’s greatest stage, the World Series, and playing the role of gracious host and wise-cracking joker. Cardinals reliever Arthur Rhodes, who played for the Rangers earlier this season, was hugging some of his ex-teammates when Pujols’s booming voice echoed across the near-empty ballpark as he wrapped his muscular arms around Rhodes and gave him a big bear hug, too.

I totally get where you're coming from

if it makes you feel any better, its hard to sweep those three games in the middle (although it worked for us in ’06) and even if we do come home down 3-2, if the home team wins Game 6, its been very very difficult historically for the visiting team to come back and win Game 7 (although, again, it worked for us in ’06).

2) I’m digging Fox’s punk/rock cover of “Meet Me in St. Louis” to open the pre-game

I once shot a man just to see him die...then I got distracted and missed it.
