Hey there guys and gals, this is my first fan post and I don't really want to get to lengthy.  Just would like to begin the discussion of next year because I am absolutely tired of talking to people about this season and trying to explain to the less informed what actually went wrong this year.

Obviously first priority this off season is getting Mr. Pujols locked up in a deal that makes him a Cardinal forever, and hopefully for not over 30 million a year.  Other than that we have some other issues, whether it is a legitimate closer, a real second basemen or maybe even a third basemen that isn't made of glass.  I also think that while Jon Jay has been playing kinda well he is not the answer in right field. 

Just to throw a few names out there that i think could work.

Jorge Cantu - 3B

Andruw Jones - RF although i'm not sure how expensive he is going to be and deal with Boras might not be worth it

Juan Uribe - 2B

As far as a closer goes I think that might have to come from the inside, which isn't a bad thing.  I think everyone is pretty happy with Boggs and Motte this season and they seem to be getting better/more consistent.  J.C. Romero might be cheap and i'm assuming the Big Sweat will not be back next season.  Also, I just wanna throw this out there, I will not be surprised is Tevor Hoffman is in a Cardinal uniform next season.

So yeah, just wanted to start a conversation, so please tell me how smart or dumb you think I am or who you think we should look into getting.  I think Carl Crawford would look good in right...
