25 for 25: The National League West

For those of you not familiar with the 25 years : 25 seasons : 25 players concept, please read my earlier posts here and here.

So, I am now posting the rosters for the five NL West clubs. After having placed individual FanPosts at each of the NL East SBNation sites and reading their comments, I've realized three things. One, I probably should have used both WARP1 off of Baseball Prospectus and WAR off of baseball-reference.com; there are a lot of skewed results between the two. Two, Mets fans insist that they need at least 4 guys off the '86 team included, using their '86 stats. Three, how the hell could I put Jose Mesa (2001) on the Phillies over Brad Lidge's perfect 2008?

As before, I will be posting these to the respective sites, looking for discussion from the faithful. And I would appreciate further comments from VEB. NOTE: The NL Central will be coming next week, with a separate post for the 1985-2009 Cardinal team. Hopefully this will get me jump-started toward completing the 1935-1960 research and on through the other half of the century.

P.S. (Knocking on wood here) I've recently been able to access Viva from work, so here's hoping for continued limited productivity.
