Like a sucker, I went to work today. It was opening day and the Cardinals were playing at 1 ET but I figured, I have MLB.tv, all I have to do is avoid the sports websites and the score, come straight home and watch the replay. Well I guess a lot of people had that idea too because the speed was increasingly sluggish and after 4 hours of watching and rebuffering and 'checking back in a few minutes' I decided I could skip Ryan Franklin's lame 9th inning. And oh while trying to skip the 'commercial breaks' which don't actually show commercials and are thus pointless during a replay I clicked on go directly to inning and saw that the Cardinals had won 11-6 before I even saw the first pitch. Why can't I watch a rebroadcast with no commercials and quality video? The live Angels and Twins game is coming in fine and the commercial breaks make sense because it's 'live'. At least Dan'n'Al didn't get any worse this year, that would actually be impossible. Next I'll look forward to Opening Day and calling in sick. With my luck we'll lose.
