I don’t think it’s anywhere online, though.

It was a big cone party hat with pink and blue stripes and they made it almost big enough to be a dunce cap. It might have had streamers on top too.

Tomorrow, I’ll check to see if I deleted that game (I think I already did, unfortunately). If I still have it, I’ll take a screenshot and post it.

Also, a silent movie featuring Boog and Joey that I haven’t watched yet, so I cannot attest to the quality or humor value, but chances are it’s funny.

didn't

had a few friends who did though, in Chicago (this recruiter was among them). They say it’ll definitely test you, but if you can make it through, its definitely worth it in the end. One of them is applying to Harvard Business basically on the strength of TFA (though he has an impressive resume besides), aside from the personal satisfaction most seem to gain from it. The day to day can be hell at times though, no doubt.

that's what i hear too

my friend did it in DC and she worked in spec. ed, and said it was simultaneously the most challenging but also the most rewarding thing she’s done. i’m more along the lines of i just want to do good in society, get an education while doing so, while opening my eyes to different(and underprivileged) segments of america. i got blessed with a great public education, and it’s a sheepish white liberal guilt(well, not really, but you know what i mean) that is a powerful motivator.

I just turned 21 last week

Actually, I figured it out. I’ve been with my now-fiancee for 7 years, and freshman year, I was more concerned with making the relationship work than going out and partying all the time

Now, where we’re more secure with the relationship and the distance, I’m way more free to go out and be an idiot

more power to you on the engagement man, congrats. you’re the guy who got the internship with the M’s right? if so, also congrats.

i think for me, once i figured out how social dynamics work at college, being social and an idiot came naturally.

this year, it’s a mix of being 21, having a good group of people i had classes with/started a student group with, and good roommates. the other years that wasn’t the case necessarily.

wait with the wedding and all. you guys are yet to find out who you are and who knows if you even like each other then.

i know divorces in the us are easy and quick, but americans tend to jump into marriage way too young

and if you do get married, wait at least a few years to have kids.

i mean that very respectfully, and i believe that you love each other and all but that’s often not enough.

And what's more, Shannon was right..

If the Moon is just rising in New York, that means it’s not even visible yet in St. Louis.

Besides, local atmospheric conditions play a big role in what the moon looks like. Sometime it looks just huge (like the time Shannon was referring to), because of some sort of atmospheric effect. But that wouldn’t be the case in St. Louis (or anywhere far away).

Local conditions are important. A lot of time local conditions can make it dimmer or smaller. And how it’s being framed by local surroundings on the horizon play the biggest role.

The Braves have a ton of young Hispanic talent in the minor leagues and I think he’d really help break them into the league.

I heard Outkast

“The Way You Move”
and then
“Thriller”
and then what I think was that song that samples Stand by Me and talks about “being suicidal when they say that it’s over.” I think it’s called “Beautiful Girls.”

Matthew Leach kindly informed me via twitter that there were some songs we didn’t hear on the broadcast:
Something by Presidents of the United States and Kriss Kross. Also “Come Sail Away” and “Sister Christian.”

He has theories about whose iPod it is, and thinks it is probably multiple playlists from one player’s iPod. Brendan Ryan is on the short list, but he thinks it might be someone else.

went to the game tonight for the first time this year

couple things i noticed
- jaime garcia was making some hitters look downright foolish…. i saw at least 5 questionable swings, the main culprits being Glaus and Matt Diaz

- what the hell is brendan ryan’s song… i blame his slump on his crappy techno song that has no understandable words to distinguish… btw his first three at-bats were not swang at technically (two backwards Ks, BB)

- Bobby Cox reminds me of TLR… too much game management… i agree with the IBBs to Pujols and Rasmus to get to Molina, but why walk Molina to get to Freese… glad that one backfired

- we got 6 runs on no homers…. that’s gotta be a season high

- new features on busch… in the first they had thurst inning where they showed people with budweisers… pointless and stupid IMO….. can’t remember other two, but i’d call it shameless advertising… but hey if this allows us to get pujols, then im for it

- speaking of, you can tell the cards have kicked it up a notch in the music video’s highlights, ways to connect with fans, and advertising as mentioned above due to Pujols’ impending contract and a winning record

- last thought- they kept showed that you could text Nick to a certain code and receive his autograph…. wonder how many people did that?

well i was 2nd level, behind 3rd base

so i didn’t get a good view of the crew…. but it did look like quite a few unhappy people

i.e. Molina with the bases loaded

brendan ryan's song is some remix

of “chigidy check yrself befor ya wrck yaself”

it could be way worse. like holliday’s bullshit. or schumaker’s. or pujol’s. even.

plus, ryan’s thing is using the same record as “the message” by grandmaster flash, which is the best rap song ever.

by adiueordie on Apr 29, 2010 1:45 AM EDT up reply actions

Truth on "The Message"

the best walk up song, however, was Brian Barton

bring the 2010 version back

i know mine would rotate quite a bit. some 311 in there, but also some miley, maybe through a bit of electronica, or some cudi. shit, i’d do all sorts of things just to get the stadium going.

if i were a closer, my music coming in would definitely something epic. maybe The National Anthem by Radiohead, just to mellow out the opposing team while that bass line amps me up.

on boog comedy

they played a video on the main screen where he was being interviewed by some 8 year oldish kid, and brendan was holding the mic.

he kept pushing the mic into the kids face, and the kid was avoiding it.
