food

“Classic ballpark fare. We do nachos, hand-battered walleye, a turkey wrap, chopped salad, oriental salad,” said Coach. “For the buffet we’ll be doing some rotisserie type meats, some roasted meats, a salad action station, a center action station where we’ll be doing pastas, flash pan fish, stuff like that. A big menu!”

Twins officials say the move to Target Field was an opportunity to sell foods you couldn’t get at the Metrodome. Along with nachos and Budweiser, fans here can find hometown favorites like Juicy Lucy burgers, Murray’s steak sandwiches and Summit Beer.

The Rockies are overrated.

They will fall back to earth this year when they play in their division. I actually have the D-backs winning it. That division is tough, and the Rockies probably will be lucky to get 3rd.

In football, the object is for the quarterback, otherwise known as the field general, to be on target with his aerial assault, riddling the defense by hitting his recievers with deadly accuracy in spite of the blitz, even if he has to use the shotgun. With short bullet passes and long bombs, he marches his troops into enemy territory, balancing this aerial assault with a sustained ground attack that punches holes in the forward wall of the enemy's defensive line.

In baseball the object is to go home! And to be safe! "I hope I'll be safe at home!"

now i'm really confused

fanshots are beneficial because they have a functionality called chats which is not really chats and not any different than the medium we use in fanposts and front page stories?

"Moneyball: It's kind of like communism."

by prophetjohn on Apr 2, 2010 4:44 PM EDT up reply actions

I think they just meant starting side conversations.

the benefit is not pushing down fanposts off the front page, and not having to meet a minimum character limit, i.e. actual content…

there are different kinds of fanshots

one of the tabs is “chat”, which I never notice, then I realize it’s essentially for all those late-night off-topic threads and those dumb questions I’m so fond of. no minimum word limit, woo!

personally would much rather push down the fanshots than the fanposts.

Also, Dave Concepcion.

by RiverRat on Apr 2, 2010 7:01 PM EDT up reply actions

you should get green sheet, that's Mopar's employee's price

and for a truck like that it’s around $10K under sticker. the dealer doesn’t lose anything because the factory pays them just like it was sold at sticker. it doesn’t matter who did your F&I, the dealer still gets their full share from the factory. $28 sounds like the invoice price, and that’s the norm dealer employee price. my dealer actually went $700 under invoice but they weren’t the norm. also that’s not the green sheet price. green sheet is always a lot lower than invoice.

now unless a lot’s changed because of the new owners, i could be wrong. but my family has always gotten green sheets because my grandpa, uncle & dad all were Mopar employees, even though they didn’t directly work for Mopar. my uncle got a new diesel last year at green sheet & it was around $15K under sticker.

Also, Dave Concepcion.

by RiverRat on Apr 3, 2010 10:27 AM EDT up reply actions

ahhh, OK

yes you got a great deal, i didn’t mean to imply you did not. as a former salesmen i’m always trying to make sure everyone gets the best deal possible but sometimes i get overexcited & people are like “dude chill. i’m happy with my new ride, why you trying to say i got ripped off?” and that’s not the case at all, i just know how the biz works & how dealers are almost never going to offer up deals or money to customers unless the customers asked for them.

as long as you’re happy, that’s all that mattes. congrats on the new truck dude. Ram’s are awesome.

are you going to put a flag on the roof & some 01’s on the doors?

Hope is the worst of all evils, for it prolongs the torment of man

by gdm426 on Apr 3, 2010 5:25 PM EDT up reply actions

That might be a little over the top.

But, I like it….My last was an ‘07 Ram, they’re really quite similar, but the 7 had more of a truck feel to it, (sat a little taller and rode a little rougher.) I’m pretty pleased that my payment is $35 a month less than what I was paying for the 7.

Asshattery: it's an epidemic.
Also, Dave Concepcion.

by RiverRat on Apr 4, 2010 2:33 PM EDT up reply actions

less money for more ride? you can't beat that dude

from what i read the 07 & 09’s are totally different underneath, which is why you & so many other Ram & truck owners like the 09 a lot more

if you saw my truck, you know i’m all about being over the top. it’s the epitome of over the top.

fyi, there’s a numbers matching General Lee about 45min from my house. it’s taking every once of my being not to go down there & boost it
