"We were men - flesh and blood - and we played baseball in the sunshine. We hit doubles off the wall, slid hard into second base. We had fights, and we made love. We sang songs and prayed on Sundays. . . . We felt pain. And we felt joy. There was a lot wrong with the world. But we weren't sad, man. We had the times of our lives." So I was watching the Indians feed on MLB.tv earlier
And it is seriously depressing (sorry CG). At first I thought something was wrong with the feed, because there wasn’t really any background noise going on — just the announcers, and anytime they weren’t talking, total silence. But then someone made contact and the bat made its usual wood-on-ball sound.
Turns out, the stadium was just so empty and the crowd was so quiet that there wasn’t even enough general stadium noise to register on the TV feed. How depressing.
Also
The Indians TV guys sounded bored as hell. You’d have thought it was September and they were 30 games out or something.
Welcome to my world.
Meanwhile I finished my Hershey’s chocolate pie a couple of inning’s too early I think.

If I remember correctly
Pujols took him out at the plate last year, and he took offense to it. He was blocking the plate when the ball wasn’t even close to the plate, so Albert just bowled him over. It was the same series as the Backe confrontation

I'm a Flippy fanboy
But he looks good period. He should be starting most days at 2B or 3B.
Not afraid to nitpick
I think he will be

I still like Freese, but Floppy is better
If everyone stays healthy, 10% of the games at SS, 25% at 2B and 50% at 3B would get him to 138 starts.

they need lopex on the bench
to use in double-switches. he’ll be the double-switch guy 90% of the time

I think he should be starting pretty much when possible

OT: Hilarious wikipedia edit on Bengie Molina's article
However, at 5’11" and weighing 315 pounds, Molina is regarded as one of the slowest baserunners in the game. After many tests, scientists from the Elias Sports Bureau confirmed that Molina’s body mass has it’s own gravitational force that draws the baseball closer to his bat, thereby increasing his batting average.
