So I was watching the Indians feed on MLB.tv earlier

And it is seriously depressing (sorry CG). At first I thought something was wrong with the feed, because there wasn’t really any background noise going on — just the announcers, and anytime they weren’t talking, total silence. But then someone made contact and the bat made its usual wood-on-ball sound.

Turns out, the stadium was just so empty and the crowd was so quiet that there wasn’t even enough general stadium noise to register on the TV feed. How depressing.

Yeah, that must have been it

Abd there were four guys that did it, per this link here

Only four players have hit a home run into the CF bleachers: Luke Easter (when he was in the Negro Leagues), Joe Adcock, Lou Brock, and Henry Aaron.

My apologies, and I hereby suspend myself for 10 days from trivia questions.

CF or CF bleachers

Those were some mammoth shots, huh? Would’ve loved to see a Home Run Derby in that park, or Albert get a hold of one and see how far he’d send it.

Do you think Albert’s shot off Lidge clears the Polo Grounds in dead CF?

I still like Freese, but Floppy is better

If everyone stays healthy, 10% of the games at SS, 25% at 2B and 50% at 3B would get him to 138 starts.

OT: Hilarious wikipedia edit on Bengie Molina's article

However, at 5’11" and weighing 315 pounds, Molina is regarded as one of the slowest baserunners in the game. After many tests, scientists from the Elias Sports Bureau confirmed that Molina’s body mass has it’s own gravitational force that draws the baseball closer to his bat, thereby increasing his batting average.
