Tracking HOF Ballots
A cumulative list and spreadsheet of writers ballots for the 2011 HOF.
As it looks right now...going off of the averages of votes from those who have made public their ballots; Alomar and Blylevin are the only players who currently are at or above the 75% needed for election.
I do NOT claim credit for all of the research. The original spreadsheet was emailed to me from a friend and I just cleaned it up and did the formulas for the percentages. I do not have a link to the original, nor do I know who the original creator was.
Please feel free to post links to any writers who I do not have listed and I will update the spreadsheet.

I'm a little surprised Bagwell isn't getting more support
Also, if those numbers are correct Big Mac is down several percent after being fairly stable for his first several years; and Tim Raines is having a big jump up, suggesting HOF induction within the next few years.

Could also be a product of what ballots have been revealed by the respective writers
While this spreadsheet shows the current percentages, the remaining hundreds of ballots could totally determine the outcome. For all we know every other ballot could have McGwire and Walker as chosen players….The picture will become clearer once I can find more published ballots.

I really don't get the rationale behind...
McGwire having 19.8% to Palmeiro’s 11%.
It’s not like people could say “well, Palmeiro needs to just admit what he did”. Just ask Pete Rose and Mark McGwire how coming clean has worked for them.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think either should be in, but Palmeiro with the 500+ homers and the 3000+ hits should be a hell of a lot closer to induction than McGwire’s 500+ homers and McGwire’s 1600+ hits.
