Ok, I'll admit it.  I'm posting for the first time so please bear with me if I screw this up.  :)

I wouldn't have a problem if the Redbirds attempted to make a swap with the Pirates - Rasmus for McCutchen.  When you look at the ages, salaries, BA, OBP, etc., they are about as even as one could hope for.  The major exceptions,  SBs and the fact that McCutchen appears to be a legitimate lead-off batter.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Colby, and would be perfectly happy with him as long as he wanted to stay in a Cardinal uniform.  Rather, I am looking at ways to improve the makeup of the lineup with as little impact financially and team mix chemistry-wise, and this trade just seems to be ideal for both.
