Its a wierd thing, i've not been a baseball fan for very long
in fact this is only my 3rd postseason. In 2008 the Yanks didn’t even get to october and the significance of this was really lost on me, but last year the the Yankees winning just felt so inevitable.. it was wierd. and i didnt like it
VEB's only queer since '09
i think it can go one of two ways
either you are a yankees fan
or you hate the yankees
i don’t think i’ve ever met anyone that was indifferent

I am indifferent.

Second base….I’ve played second base, how hard can it be? -TLR
Also, Dave Concepcion.
Votto wins one offensive category and gets picked ahead of Pujols?
Ummmmm…….WTF?

Pujols just doesn't get enough respect imo
but maybe that’s part of the reason he kicks so much ass

I think Panda will be a threat too. Not at Votto's level though.

anyone know some tips for getting cheap flights?
i tried airports beyond lambert…but found out places like mid america dont do domestic anymore etc.
So Im think Lambert to Ft Lauderdale, West Palm, or MIA…ive looked at orbitz, sw, airtran’s site…ive looked at different combinations of 1-ways versus round trippers to see if that matters
any help would greatly be appreciated
by guillermozeliak on Oct 20, 2010 1:44 PM EDT reply actions
what i usually do first
is go straight to the airlines’ that fly that airport site and look there
in my experience that tends to often be cheaper for direct domestic flights
international flights are trickier
what is the lowest price that you got so far?

also it depends heavily on what days of the week your flights are
tuesdays seem to be the cheapest

220ish.
i think i found 180 for one…maybe
this is all after taxes too

southwest.com
is the only place to but tickets on Southwest. Looking at their route map it looks like they fly to West Palm and Lauderdale
also
im really bummmed that this Airtran/Southwest will take a while to get sorted out
because flying to MIA via Southwest would be uber dealish

I like Hipmunk
But that’s just the interface…I don’t know if you’re going to necessarily find cheaper flights there compared to Expedia and the like. Just has a nice big grid on it that shows possible dates/times and prices.

it looks like it's doesn't find the cheapest flights possible
(compared with another site i use for flying back to europe)
but the agony is a nice touch

nice
i found 216…not sure if thats the FINAL cost
but its similar to what ive looked
Im flying FRI and ret. MON….there was no real price difference when selecting “choose day b/f and after”

wait im confused
did they have to put the ROY player Heyward on the team…because wouldnt werth play RF?
by guillermozeliak on Oct 20, 2010 1:46 PM EDT reply actions
Their NL OF is Gonzalez, Holliday, Braun
Heyward is the NL ROY (which is separate from this team IMO).

So has Heyward...
…been so overrated by ESPN that he’s actually become underrated? I mean the guy’s one of baseball’s youngest players and he was a five win player and had a .376 wOBA. Not saying he deserved this particular award but he’s still pretty friggin’ good.

Ryan Zimmerman is so awesome at baseball.
He could be like T2000 to Rolen’s Terminator.

I hate the rotoworld sidebar
The heading is Albert Pujols, and a quick skim of the text led me to see the words “multi-year deal”…i got very excited…and then saw they were talking about dave duncan
ugh
