Dan McLaughlin 2nd Chattiest in Baseball
You weren't imagining it. The Wall Street Journal presents a (small sample size!) unscientific survey.
Dan comes in at 109.9 words per minute.
He trails only Vin Scully, at 143.4 words per minute.

Behold!
The only moment in history which will ever feature Dan McLaughlin and Vin Scully in the same breath!
To expand on that
The only man he trails doesn’t have a color commentator. Also, Vin Scully is one of the greatest baseball announcers of all time and Dan is Dan.

Also, Vin Scully doesn't have another commentator alongside him, if I remember correctly
dodgers broadcasts are “just” him.
They say that it's never too late, but you don't get any younger...
See Al? You're not retarded.
It’s the guy sitting next to you that can’t shut up that IS retarded.
Dear Lord I can’t wait for hockey games sans Danny McDoesn’tdeservetobehere this season. Or, much later on, baseball games with a similar arrangement.
One day, David Backes and Albert Pujols will combine forces to become the most awesome piece of violent force known to man.
chatty cathy
Tut then again, I really shouldn’t comment on this, seeing as I’ve never actually heard Dan talk, having lived on the East Coast my entire life. I just enjoy the phrase “Chatty Cathy”.
Life's a river, kid, you gotta go where it takes you.

his calls are most often in sportscenter
because it’s hard to find intelligible Shannon calls, mostly. you’ve probably heard him. also you can hear him getting his pants wet, which they like.
